Is it worthwhile to use a 16" barrel with a 6.5 Grendel?

  4. If you need Grendel ammo, I have 60 rounds of Wolf Gold, and a few hundred SMK and Berger VLD projectiles.

May also see if I can have an 18" barrel thrown on there instead...

What's the word on the Scenars for defensive loads? I know they're stupidly accurate.

  7. Oh, and I have 2 Hi-Cap (they used to call them 26rd) magazines from AA and one 10 round mag.

  8. Any of the OTM rounds are going to work. I don't know if there's terminal ballistics data out there, but if you're interested in defensive loads, I don't see the point in spending the money for the Scenars. The SMKs will likely do the exact same thing, at a lower cost.

An 18" 6.5G built on a MUR is sounding really good right now...I need to put the beer down...

A practical 18" build (read: not fucking 20lb and balancing on the muzzle brake) in 6.5G would be interesting. Seems like it's mebbe the best way to toss some long/heavies out of an AR platform (and prolly even better than a 308AR10).

    What are you thinking THT?

Looking for a somewhat jack-of-all-trades rifle capable of CQB or 500yd+ accuracy with a swap of the optic. The build would be:

16" or 18" Addax Tactical ATAC GPU built on either a MUR or standard receiver
    Noveske N4 lower
    Armalite LPK
    Geissele SSA
    UBR w/ 0.7" buttpad

I'd have Chris at Addax build it since I'm a dealer and could get things cheaper than retail :naughty:

Oh, my bad...I must have missed it since I'm not used to looking so low.

I'll make you watch as I fornicate with your wife? or would that be punishing both of us?
