    The viewfinder on the 5D mkII is pure sex. Not sure if / how it's different from the original 5D, but it seemed clear and bright as hell.

    Its slightly larger and much brighter. It also got rid of the yellow cast that the old 5D VF had.

    This is a neat thing that some guy on POTN put together to show VF sizes.

    he should have put on the masks that each VF has. also besides size, some are a lot dimmer. my AE1-p has a much dimmer vf compared to the minolta!

    Manual focus film cameras all had larger viewfinders so that it would be easier to focus it. As cameras all went to auto-focus, viewfinders have gotten tinier. :hs:

    Bahahaha:bowdown::bowdown::rofl::rofl:

    I have to say I'm glad they got this worked out so quick. Its a far cry from all the shit they put us through with the 1DMkIII.

    "There's no problem"

    "Oh wait, there is a problem, we'll get back to you."

    "Well, we'll recall them...we'll let you know when."

    "Ok, you can get on a list now and we'll let you know when we're ready to fix it."

    "You mean its still not fixed? Must be your imagination, there's no issue."

    "Oh by the way, we're going to start charging you now for CPS service."

    :rolleyes:

    I guess the massive exodus to Nikon made them rethink how they handled their fuckups.

    The new LCD is pretty damn nice, also. Most people complain about the black dot issue but haven't really talked much (positive) about the 5D MKII other than the high iso performance.

    The anti-reflective LCD (plus the higher resolution) is a huge improvement over the 5D MKI

    I'm still trying to get an extra battery, though. They're on backorder everywhere. I guess they're trying to pull a Nikon marketing move lol
