well I can't say I've ever seen that before
is he doing it right?
Yes, thats the textbook Louie Simmons definition of how a box squat is done properly.
The thing with this forum is that I can never tell sarcasm from truth anymore. That looked fine to me, except the feet comming off the ground.
I think as long as you are releasing the tension from your glutes, etc.. then its correct...who knows?
oh my god
please lord, if you're listening...kill me now. I can't take it anymore.
how tall is the guy? like 5'1''?
then give a real response you redneck fuckface.
i have never seen anyone do box squats with their feet off the ground at any time, interesting
I think the box is too high or the guy is too short. The feet are not supposed to come off the ground.
you can see him lift his feet up , it is intentional
not sure why though, hehe
intentional as well as retarded
Props for even handling that weight though...
the pseudo elitism is strong in this thread
damn...I though I squatted high...lol...
that's the old school Culver City Westside Barbell (gym Louie named his after) method of doing box squats....
no longer considered proper...
still impressive, no?
here's the guy doing it btw..
Maybe if he dropped the box about 6 inches.
I'm sure he's strong and all and you can tell he's jacked but really...
585x5 raw to a high box? no.
why is a BB'er doing box squats?
probably for the same reason pl'ers do it? build strength in their glutes, hammies, etc without stress on the knees?
I would say it is even more impressive that he is a bodybuilder sitting at 8-10% BF and can still lift that much
