Me and my gf Carolyn went on this trip last winter, just getting around to posting pics now.

Her sister's SO bought a timeshare of a 5 bedroom cabin on a ski mountain in Kimberley, BC for Christmas, and invited us along. It was INCREDIBLE. It was directly on the ski mountain, and a T-Bar went right into out back yard, 30 feet from our back door. Hot tub on the deck with a breathtaking view, snowboarding, and one of the best roads to drive ever makes for an awesome time. We were there 5 days.

On to the pics feat. commentary by myself.

On the way, 2 hilarious town names.. "Balzac" and "Ta-Ta Creek" :mamoru:

A bunch of awesome mountain pics.. this is what makes Alberta the beat place on Earth, this place is just so fucking beautiful, can't be beat.:cool::cool:

The drive through the mountains has a ton of twists and turns.. when conditions suck, driving sucks, and snow tires/chains are needed.. Luckily the weather was quite warm this weekend

    :eek3::noes::eek3::noes:

And in the worst case scenario, that of your brakes failing.. there are these runaway paths. They're full of really loose gravel so that while you drive up, your vehicle sinks, and eventually gets stuck.. sucks, but better than going down the mountain through the twisties on ice at 200kph

The city of Banff, AB. Fucking beautiful town in the middle of the rockies, but REALLY touristy, and also has highest % of STD's per person in North America :ugh: No sex, please.
How can you beat seeing this at the end of the main street??

More pics of one of the most beautiful drives in the world..

We stopped here to see the largest area of protected wetlands in the world, was a nice picture opportunity, and had some cool windy traintracks, and windy creeks

We explored downward a bit more..

    Winding train

These bridges were built so that wildlife can cross the highway safely.. there are so many bears, elk, moose, deer, mountain goats, etc that they're definitely neede3d.. kind of a cool idea.

    Speaking of wildlife...

    Into British Columbia we go

Fast Forward a bit, and we get the first view of the mountain from the highway near Kimberley

We find our cabin, it is stunning gorgeous... Just perfect, wish I could live here.

Here is the view from our deck, yes, that is a fucking T-Bar going directly into our back yard :bigthumb:
    wanna stay here forever :coold:
