5 Week Progess so far v. advice needed

    Ok so after getting into some trouble with the cops and i decided that i needed to refocus myself on what was important and get focused again on working out after spending my first 3.5 years of college to :420: and drinking way to many beers. These are the pics of me about a week before Thanksgiving...

    After looking at these pics 5 weeks later, I truthfully thought that I would have made more progress. To be completely honest, I do feel better about myself after working out than I had previously, but still want to improve my physical appearance. The workout I had been doing consisted of the following:

    Sunday - Cardio
    Monday - Upper Body
    Tuesday - Cardio
    Wednesday - Lower Body
    Thursday - Cardio
    Friday - Upper Body
    Saturday - OFF

    My diet did not change to much from what it was before, in fact i had really not been consuming much food at all, and all but cut out fast food besides for the occasional slip up. With all of that being said I want to focus myself on making even more strides which I know means I have to clean up my diet and probably even change my workout. I have read the stickyed threads multiple times but am really just looking for a little extra help and guidance if you wouldn't mind helping me out. I just know that when I graduate in May I will be accepting a job out of state with a new group of people and I have a chance to transform myself into a healthy, fit person instead of looking like an overweight frat boy.

    thanks dude wasnt meant to be a new years post especially the part about the last 5 weeks, just happened to be the timing as i have just returned home after spending holidays at home with a glutton of unhealthy food

    so i have realized...after i stopped playing football in high school i went on a real clean diet and actually did the same workout i am now and went from about 275 down to around 225 in about 5 months. I am currently about 240 and its not the weight that really bothers me, just the bodyfat

    Ok so what are you going to do? If you have realized that a clean diet is 90% of it why did you post this thread?

    Honestly at your BF% it's not hard to drop some weight.

    keeping a log is a good start to figuring out what questions or focuses you might need to address...

    see where you're at in a year. 5 weeks is shit. Not worth my time straining my eyes to see progress for over a month.

    you should have cleaned up your diet right away. The reason that you aren't seeing much of a difference between the pictures is because of that.

    You also should get on a more direct exercise routine instead of "lower body" "upper body". Get a routine that is specifically designed for your goals in mind.

    EDI: I'll also help anyone starting out. We all started somewhere. If I have the time, I"ll try and help as best as I can.

    my focus in the last two months has honestly changed from trying to get fucked up all the time and always going out to now where i maybe go out once a weekend
