5" rear speakers...wtf...

    my toyota t-100 has 5" rear speakers :hs: has anyone installed 5.25" in there?

    Blah....don't need rear speakers anyways :p


    Seriously though; 5.25's should fit. A little modding may need to be done at worst. But they'll get in there.

    that's what i keep hearing too, but i'm not going the component route this time because i'm sick of my head units and amps getting stolen :mad::mad:. besides, they sit right behind my head so why not.
    now the obvious follow-up question:
    any reccomendations?

    i've installed a few 5 1/4s in t-100s... its somewhat time consuming to having to take the entire rear assembly apart. if i'm not mistaken, you'll need a shallow moount speaker.

    I don't mind the work as long as I can make the speakers fit in there. Which speakers would you reccomend?

    I'm confused, why don't you want to just run better front speakers and ditch the rears?
