    Yep, an AR upper in 5.45 would be cheap plinking

    edit: cheap until I saw the cost of 5.45 uppers. Holy crap, the S&W 5.45 upper is going for $725 and the Olympic is $600 ... and those are basic M4 style.

    If you figure something like 5-10k of 5.45 compared to 5.56 prices, it's like getting a free upper once you've shot it all.

    I bought the S&W 5.45 upper from AIM for $569. It's pretty sweet, 16".

    It is a little more then JG's Bulgarian surplus but not sure if theirs comes in a crate or box (I emailed to ask what they got atm).

    I shoulda stocked up on hotshot 5.45 from Century (12.5cent non-corrosive). They had massive possible keyholing warning on that. So I only bought a tin to test it, it worked fine on my AK then when I went back it was out of stock. :hs:

    I know there's a warehouse full of E. German 5.45 out there somewhere :squint: I'm not buying any more until that shit gets imported and is <$120

    Yea, whatever happened to that rumor? I was waiting for that stuff in come in after Bulgarian and Russian dried up.
