I expect to see your very best fireworks pictures if you don't get rained out. Last 4th of July it poured and they didn't shoot till like 10:00 PM, and I think I had other stuff to do.

I've been waiting a year for this crap. I plan on going out early to scope out a good location and angles. I just need to get a cable release quickly heh. (well I don't have to have one, but it would be nice)

Forgot to resize... taken about 3 weeks ago when my roommates decided to shoot some fireworks. Didn't have my tripod on me (it was upstairs) so I just tilted the camera skywards after it shot off.

Imma going to the Rockies game on the 3rd and they have the largest fireworks show in Denver, then going to try to have shots from outside the stadium on the 4th!

I doubt I'll take any this year and actually enjoy watching them for a change.

They look kewl..... especially if you can get some over water, or properly exposed skyscrapers.

Unless you think they look like shit.

nah, maybe i was a bit too negative. i think it would be great practice and neat to experiment with, but the experience of fireworks is just so centered around being there watching them. i don't even bother watching on tv

might try to catch some on the 4th so I can get some really awesome ones at Disney in August. Hope to get some great shots of the fireworks off of Cinderella's castle and such. :x:

I was wondering what the best way to meter for shots like this was :dunno: I guess its best you have a tripod? The local golf course has fireworks I might swing by there early and get a good spot.
