Hitching a deadlift is doing anything that causes the pull to not be smooth, such as the calf raise in this last deadlift video.

you're still walking the bar up your legs, but definetly an improvement in form from the previous max attempt.

I'm working on that with rack pulls.

why do you not try and nail your form down and then move up weight?

    See above. PNP, BABY! ;)

Seriously, my form definitely improved with the submax weight (i.e. watch my 405x5 video). This was a max effort lift, so it comes with the territory.

I don't think anyone pulls a clean, good form max effort lift.

honestly, you consider yourself this big bad powerlifter but half of your lifts wouldn't be legal in competition.

you're quick off the floor so use some common sense and work the weak part of the movement. try some rack pulls maybe?

Dude, -everyone- pulls a clean, good form max effort E-LIFT! :naughty:

    1) When do I ever consider myself "big bad" or a powerlifter? I'm a strength athlete; get it right.

    2) Read above. I mentioned that I currently incorporate rack pulls in my training.

sorry i missed that part... good job, i'm glad you're being critically constructive about your training instead of just being butthurt like in the past.
