Currently run 12 minute/mile pace "indefinitely" (I can keep it up for an hour)
Would like to make that 8 minute/mile. I ran the last 45 seconds of my run at that pace. Should I just keep upping that time (so, today, the last 50 seconds), or would it be better to do like half mile repeats at 9 minutes/mile (or whatever I can manage)?
    Thanks!

    No gym for home.

The more you run, the faster you will get. Push yourself to your goal pace throughout the run, then back off and recover, before pushing the pace again. It ain't rocket science (no offence).
