This speaks for itself.
i was just about to make this thread, i was going to use similar exclamation as well as lots of capital letters
no Jade Falcon, no care.
this shit looks sick!
The clans ruined it with their pretty Madcat MKii
I cannot wait this has long been overdue
summner, timberwolf and mad dogs ahh good memories
oh man that trailer looks pretty good too
I used the Summoner chassis
MechWarror 2, fuck yeah
sorry dudes, its going to suck
Seeing how they're duel developing for 360 and PC it's going to be dumbed down arcadey gameplay. Not the sweet simulator action the series was.
can't wait for this. I really hope they include the Thor. I used to be awesome with it in MW4, I had at least 10 different variants I'd use.
Thor will be available as DLC after release
have you read the interview? they say they don't want it to be arcade like at all. they were talking about having different levels of control for casual gamers and a customizeable one for advanced players. still I'd stay away from the console version. keyboard and joystick ftw. I used to stand up my keyboard with a joystick in front when I played MW4. but it sounds like the controls are going to be very customizable. they were saying they really wanted to stay away from the arcaide crap they used in the Mechassault series.
If this is anything like MW2, MW3, or most importantly MultiPlayer Battletech:Solaris and to a lesser extent 3025, I'd be in heaven.
I don't care, I'll pay for one but they were also saying in the interview that they want to avoid releasing things like mech packs and want to be able to have new content just added whenever. weather or not its free is up to their publisher (which they don't have yet).
Why would I read the interview, quit bringing logic into this
they haven't finished the miltiplayer part yet but they said its going to have persistent stats and allow you to develop in game "skill" for specific mechs (both mech class and specific variants) kind of like what they did with COD4. it sounded like they were discussing a conquest type thing similar to 3025 but said it wouldn't be an mmo but it would have persistent aspects to it.
lol, don't worry I just read the whole thing. I'll make corrections as needed
it really sounds like they aren't going to screw this one up but we won't know until they get farther along in the development. they said the hud in the video was still primitive and more would be added. they want it to be a really good sim (action sim) and do as much as they can to make it feel like you are piloting a mech instead of just feeling like you are the mech. but I was definitely happy to hear they do not want any kind of an arcade feel.
Sorry, this generation has left me feeling extremely jaded and let down
I think this is a great franchise to bring back. Now if Lucasarts would bring back the Tie Fighter/X-Wing as well as the Dark Forces series... gaming nostalgia heaven.
Wow I remember wen I first played this......it was fun....hope it lives up to its name/hype
new x-wing would be godlike
but since microsoft gave up the rights to the Mechwarrior brand to these new guys I have hope for this game. one of the guys has been playing the table top game since he was a kid and developed the Battletech centers.
That's always a good start
I remember the odd feeling playing MW3 compared to 2 and Mercs. It just didn't feel like the same game.
Just curious, did you play Solaris and 3025? Not many folks know wtf I'm talking about when I mention those two games.
I didn't play 3025 but I know about it and wish it was fully released. as for solaris do you mean the tabletop game or the player created content for MW4? I played a bunch of solaris games in mw mercenaries (modded to fuck with a ton of user created stuff). shit I used to play the Ascii mud/mux games like Battletech: Frontier Lands. played a ton of the Virtual World Battletech (in pods back in the day), and even a little tabletop (I still have some mechs I painted).
EDIT: n/m you mean the one they used to have on AOL, yeah never played it but heard about it.
