My old comp started acting up hardcore so I replaced the motherboard and that has luckily fixed the issue.

At the same time I bought a fancy shmancy case with USB 2.0 ports in the front.

There's the USB expansion plugs, for cases with front USB ports -- the plugs look like the HDD LED plugs, and power on plug, and reset plug etc with the male end being on the MB, and the female end coming from the front USB 2 ports., however I don't know if it will work with USB 2.0, or even how to set it up correctly. I was looking at the directions for seting it up, and obviously the USB 2 has different ways of plugging in than USB 1. I can get everything to plug in -there's enough pins, but not sure if it'll work or if its correct.

Since my motherboard was designed before the days of USB 2.0, is there a way to connect the USB 2 cables to the onboard USB add on area on the motherboard?

    the motherboard is a Abit TH7-Raid, P4 423 pin
