How long did it take you to get there?

Just broke 225 after an 8 year "lay-off". My highest ever was 305 right out of high school. :o

i didnt get there until last summer (I'm 20) I tested out at spring testing (I played college football) at 335 after a week of the flu, three weeks before that I was at 365) Took me all summer and I finally maxed at 425 two weeks before camp started. I hit 405 (prolly could have hit a little higher), I started TRAC that week and tested at 425 after running 16 110yrd sprints.

After being lazy for the months following the end of season, I started lifting again over January but never maxed... got back to campus and started the footall workout, quit football (too many reasons to list) and maxed at 385 two weeks ago.
I did chest today - 10x135, 10x185, 7x225, 7x275, 10x315, 9x315, 5x225(5 seconds down, fire up) 5x135(7 seconds down, fire up) plus incline, flys, reverse crossovers then tri workout. hopefully in two weeks (spring break is this coming week) I'll be back to 405+

do some research and find a good powerlifting workout if you are set on getting to 405... its gonna take you a LONG time to get to 405 if you just broke 225... but stay dedicated and the results will come

I am at 365 after about 2.5 years. I figure 405 will take me another year since I am cutting right now. BTW, some of us don't have the advantage of short arms you lawn gnome.

that's such a fucking excuse. My training partner said the same thing until we measured and mine were longer.
I might look like a fucking ape but I showed him.

dayumm.. lot of strong guys here on OT F&N...

I would love to have an F&N meat and see everyone put up these numbers (not saying they couldnt) but it would help motivate me a bit seeing a lot of guys my size throwing these weights around!

thats what I thought as well (filmy too probably?!?!) but even a lot of the guys hitting 365. Thats my all time best, and I still cannot repeat it consistantly.
Good job to those who can though!
