Looking to get back into photography not sure what camera to get. Thoughts?
Wait till they come out.
They are out
5D or D200
not quite. but anyway, because of the vast differences between canon and nikon, you really NEED both if you want to get any good shots ever.
Along with the 10-1000 1.2L IS lens.
They're not really out yet.
Wait till they post noise levels from both sensors. Higher pixel density usually is a bad thing. You might actually be better off picking up a 350D, 20D, or D70 depending on how the 400D and D80 fare.
but then you have to compare a 400d file reduced to 8mp to a 350d file to see the real difference in noise
True, but when the Sony 828 was announced, everyone was like OMG8MP!!!!!!111one. Plus it had an RGBE CCD vs. RGBG, so color reproduction was supposed to be SUPERB.
Then when it came out the colors were indeed awesome, but we were all shocked to see the noise level. You had to resize it down to 5MP size for it to be decent, and then it was pretty much indistinguishable from the 707/717; no reason to "upgrade" anyway.
Wait and see. Like they say in the movies, "let's not start sucking each others' dicks yet, gentlemen."
they sure are. go to your local store and see how they feel in your hands
best buy has the xti in a bunch of stores
well considering canon > nikon
well my apologizies. i called best buy and they just pulled 4 off their truck. if they had only the body i'd probably go get one
i have eleventy billion around me and all the store people are complete idiots
noise levels between D80 & Rebel 400D.
just go to the store, pick one up. whatever you're most comfortable with, get. It's all about what you need. but then what do i know. I suck at this shit, haha
i hate a 300d but sold it and ever since i've been wanting a dslr back
is it me or do those look noisy as hell
That's ISO 1600.
