The default unlock code is the last 4 digits of the phone number assigned to the phone. If you have changed it you will have to contact LG for assistance.

i have contacted them about it, and they said that i'll have to send the phone to them. If it's found to be stolen, then i won't get it back. It hasn't been used for over a year now, i doubt there is still a phone number even associated with it. Hmm.... what to do. Do you think i should send it?

    Looking for opinions. thanks

Try the last 4 digits of the phone number that was previously programmed in the phone. If you don't know or it doesn't work you will have to go through the manufacturer. I work for Verizon, there is no other option.

i don't know the last number that was associated with it. So looks like i may have to send it back. I'm just worried about not getting it back...

i recently figured out how to access the menu, phonebook, etc. So i can do all that now, but the lock is still on. Is there a way of taking it off through the menu??

    getting closer hopefully.

Unfortunately, no. Unless you remember it you will have to deal with LG.
