I bought some a few weeks ago for $55. :hs: I was just about to buy some more when I got back from vacation. :wtc: Are there any good 5.45 mag deals around? I don't care what they look like.

I think copes still has some of the Russian plums. That's probably the cheapest you'll get.

I'm still kicking myself for not buying more when they were about $5 a piece :ugh:

I don't understand why almost nobody manufactures any new Ak74 parts. I would do anything short of sucking Magpuls dick if they produced some pmags for the 74.

There's really no profit involved in a US tooling up to make AK-74 mags. The surplus ones are extremely tough and reliable, there's not any improvements to be made IMO. K-VAR sells new Bulgarian ones that work great as well, so any US company coming into the market would have to compete for what little market there is for new AK-74 mags. I see new East German mags sell for $15 all the time and you can bet a new US mag is going to priced similarly to K-VAR's new Bulgarian mags, around $30.

Copes may have some for around $15, I think it was cdnn and centerfire use to have used EG's for 4.99 and new for 5.99. for $20 you'd get 4 new ones a pouch and a tobaco can cleaning kit.

I went to the fun show over the weekend and couldn't find any used mags for less than $20. I would've loved to find some cheaper new ones. :sad2:

Anyhow, what's my best bet for mags right now? 3 Just isn't cutting it and I'm suspect of them anyhow.

The kraut ones are nice some dont like the color but you can't beat them for reliability I've got alot of them some are pretty beat but they are 100% reliable. I've got a few poles they're pretty good too. I think the Bulgarians might be the cheapest on the market right now though. Get a couple polish steel ones if you want something nice and different.
