4.6L to 5.0L

    just wondering... does anyone know what the power gain is from boring and stroking a 4.6L to 5.0L. sounds like a good project, i just wanna know the gain. thanks in advance

    Way too expensive. You can build a decent 2v motor, but like stated earlier trying to break the 350whp mark is tough even with a power adder.

    The first post just stated "300+ type numbers" without specifiying wheel or crank.

    300 at the crank should be pretty easy to get without machining the block, and I would suspect that decent cams and a blower would make 300 at the wheels.

    If the guy has a 2V and wants 300+ at the wheels, there are several cost effective ways to do it, cost effective being defined as less money than it would take to go from 4.6 to 5.0.

    If he simply wants to be able to put 5.0 badges on an '01 GT, then your whole side discussion about blowers is pointless.

    Since the guy stated he wanted an N/A motor, his best bet would be to upgrade the heads and valvetrain(s).
