New scope, new larue SPR-E mount, and some ACOG I got lying around. I'm selling the acog btw.

Trijicon does do a nice job with packaging.

    3x9 vrs 1x4 accupoint

According to the stats it's is supposably 2" longer, and 6 ounces heavier than the 3x9 accupoint I was using. Weight feels the same but the scope seems much bigger than +2" (that's what she said I know). Illuminated recticle is pretty small which is good as this is a dedicated long range optic. Eye relief is shorter than my 1x4 accupoint but is still substantial for a 3x9. I mostly be shooting prone or off a baricade with this. At 9x I get really see stuff 350+ yards. Don't know if I'll need this much magnification. It is going to slow my target to target transitions. Maybe try 6x.

I'm going dow to san diego for the weekend. I'm going to shoot the ipsc match on saturday. Then sight in the new scope afterwards. On sunday I'm going to shoot a 3 gun match and we'll see what the scope can do.

Well like this but the center is a bright orange dot. I'm going to see if I can somehow figure out how to take a picture of it without freaking out the people on the street. Might have to wait until I'm at the range.

  5. What mag clamp are you using for those P-Mags?

My camera kung fu is kind of weak. This is at 3x just pointed into the bushes so as not to freak out everyone in the neighborhood. The illumiated dot is small but really bright. You don't get a true representation from the shitty picture. You can kind of see the clarity of the lens is exceptional.

I'm going to try to get real 400 yard pictures when I'm at the range this weekend.

I have big time hopes this is going to push my long range shooting to the next level.

    Cool Cool..

If Triji would put 1/4MOA turrets on those scopes, I do believe I'd have to break down and buy a brace of them.

Well for a 3 gun rifle wrenching on turrents during a stage is going to be slow. Most guys dope for the long target before engaging the stage. I pretty much do my 35/225 yard zero and know my hold overs out to 350. If i know I need to take a lot of 350+ yard shots I'd dope for it but otherwise hold overs.
