any good? I saw a madcatz one that was 2gb and it was only $5 more than the 512mb ones from Microsoft

    $35 for 512mb + plastic where I can buy 4gb of DDR3 for less than $100:nuts:

I imagine that Mad Catz licenses there products, but be careful that what you are buying is licensed by Microsoft.

Last fall Microsoft announced its intentions of destroying the unlicensed memory market.

*propertly licensed means that it has the xbox 360 logo on it.

Of course Microsoft would pull shit like that. PS3 > 360 as far as being more open. Inflating the price to buy a shitty amount of memory so we can have portable saves is such an asshole move

:ugh: the unlicensed cards allow cheating on xbox live.

I completely agree with you on this.

Does Sony still endorse just swapping out the stock hard drive for a new OEM hard drive?

I don't give a fuck. I have 18gb worth of SD cards that I only use when I go on long trips where I don't have access to my home computer. I want to get other use out of them like I can with my goddamn PS3
I'm not sure. I've never done it but I think on the older models its fine but I wouldn't try it on the PS3 slim since it's slightly different and doesn't allow dual booting or whatever
