So for the new year I am hoping to try a cool project. I want to take a photo everyday, something that represents that day. And then at the end of the year I would like to print it on a huge poster that represents my year.

Anyone ever done this or tried it? I'm gonna try to post the photos here so that i have some motivation and accountability.

I've tried it. It's pretty fun, but I go through spurts of inspiration and then...nothing for two weeks or so. I don't just want to take crappy pics to fill it up, but maybe that's what I got to do when nothing else pops out at me. I've pretty much abandoned mine .:noes:

I thought this would be the year to do it too. I just got a new phone that has a 5.0 mp camera in it so even if i don't have my dslr always i can still take somewhat quality photos.

I did it for about two-three months and then it was too annoying to keep getting stuff printed since I never print

I'm doing it this coming year on a forum I run with some friends. I guess I could mirror my thread from there to here. But its obvious what most of my pics are going to be... :mamoru:

Always wanted to try it after seeing others who have successfully accomplished this huge task. I'm just not so sure I could keep up with it every day. It's something that you definitely have to dedicate yourself to for it to be a success. And with projects like this, I view it kind of like losing weight. If you think there's any chance that you won't stick with it, why even begin putting yourself through the misery?

At any rate, NOW is the perfect time to start!

I think everyone who is thinking about it should do it and we can make one thread dedicated just to all of our pictures.

hmmmmmmm to do it or not to do it....I would rather take 1 picture from every week. I would have better variation, and less pictures to print. Looking through 365 pictures seems like a lot more than 52ish

Oh wow and in astrophotography shooting and making the 110 object Messier catalog is a fun task, but shooting a pic everyday would be a real challenge.
I always have a camera around, but most days I don't find anything to shoot and I drive 800miles per week all over central ohio for work (copier repair guy.)

I guess for the days you got nothing you could just do a myspace style self portrait as a sort of incentive to find something better:)

I'm thinking for me that some days may not be the most artistic but rather just represent the day as a whole.

I did this last year, made it to day 38. Maybe I'll do it again this year, I've got a newborn though so every picture would be of the baby and would anyone really want to be looking through 365 of these:

I did one for about 6 months when I first started taking pictures - then I realized I was trying to hard to get stuff posted, so my pictures started getting crappy. I do best when I shoot once/twice a week.

If you can find pictures that sum up your day, good for you. I have trouble with that, since I have mundane life. Same pics everyday lulz

I think starting a project like this definitely helps you grow. I tried to do it but like others have said, you get burned out pretty quickly.

I'm just planning to do something different each week that represents the 7 days. Nothing too fancy I guess. If I happen to miss a week, whatever lol; it's not the end of the world
