For all of us who are going to attempt the picture a day or the picture a week.

    01/01/09

I spent the New Year playing cards with my family and having our family Christmas party, hence the cards and Christmas tree.

Same with the 52 pics thing. I am just going to put a flickr set with 52 pics and a part on my website with a gallery of 52 pics. Then I will print them all at the end of the year

For that picture, I probably would have spread out the cards some more and got rid of the shadow in front of the cards. The extra stuff in the background could be a bit more subtle, but it's not too bad because it shows more than just a deck of cards. Just my opinion

Went out for coffee with 2 old friends from high school. One who I hadn't seen for about 2 years.

I don't have time for 365 so 52 pics is a good idea, but I'll probably get lazy anyway :o Here's a shot from today :

The picture didn't really turn out as nice as I hoped mostly because I don't have a tripod yet and wasn't able to get a good position and also it was super cold to mess around a lot. But I feel its a fitting photo, I pass by this church everyday and today was a real relaxing sabbath like day.

Nice building, but adjust your white balance

Shoot in raw, adjust white balance after, frame better without the tree

I would also try a vert shot with a wideangle of just the left part of the picture. Move closer in, frame tighter with a wideangle and it would be more interesting

Yeah a vert shot would be the best, but without a tripod I had no place to set the camera up vertically. Can't really get closer because there is a highway separating where i shot from and the church, and shooting on the otherside of the highway is too close. Its a super tough place to shoot but hopefully in the spring I'll spend sometime with trying it.

Thanks :bigthumb: I practically see the GGB every day but I haven't really shot it much. Kind of fun being a 'tourist' in your own city, aside from everyone with their P&S getting in the way :o

SF Bay Area crew :wavey: Nice shot man.

Spent the whole day watching the documentary Long Way Round. All 10 episodes, spent almost 8 hours watching it with my dad, brother and 2 friends. Awesome awesome documentary.

I need to get on top of this... unfortunately my camera is broken so I'm going to be using a crappy Canon 8MP P&S until I buy our new camera in late january (Canon Digital Rebel XSi)

That's I guess my best shot from the week so far, not happy with it. Hanging out the window in my friends car while we were driving.
