    It's because you confine it in that tiny shelf, that hog needs a room of it own and to be suspended in mid air.

    there is plenty of airflow in that cabinet. Open in front and back, plenty of space above.

    Only 1 RRoD here. But I switch up 360s like every 6 months to a year. :dunno:

    Only one for me. Only lasted 2 years. It was a sept 2006 I bought in a holiday 2007 bundle. :o
    When I did the rrod fix, I found all the paste ran out between the chips and sink from having it standing up all the time. I can't see how my new ones will rrod, they barely get warm to the touch. My old one felt like you could cook on it even with the cooling stand on.

    im not surprised because you have it flat. you need to stand it up. i have never had a rrod still on my first one from 06. i stand mine up and i give it alot of space so it can breathe.

    I thought most said it was better to have them flat?

    With it stood up any heat from the bottom vents has to pass the upper vents. Laying flat the heat leaves quicker. :dunno:

    standing them trashes the discs after a while, always kept mine flat, on #3 right now

    Highly doubt that. Airflow is what it needs, if it's cooler, it's better.
