But seriously, in that price range, I was really impressed by the features the Acura TL had, would have gotten one but for the torque steer. The Infiniti G35 has a great engine, but I wasn't too big on the interior

    Cadillac CTS

    BMW 3 Series

    Mercedes C Series

Then the big list of used sports cars you could mod into beasts.

    Oh and Audis.

More info: I'm 20 years old, and want to live it up...luxury is not important to me...performance is.

if you want to go used you could get a used WRX/STI and mod the turbo system up

i think u could also afford an early 90s NSX

    http://www.autoextra.com/vehicledetail/adid-12005555/1993/acura/nsx/new-braunfels/tx/do-basic

not really a serious suggestion, but sometimes its fun to see whats in ur range.

if u dont care about room then maybe an S2000 with some mods would be up ur alley, or if u do want room u could always go for the suby like i said earlier, or evo, theyre pretty much the same despite what people say.

i also suggest taking a look at the 2000-2001 M3 (and surrounding years) theyre in your range

for 35k u can get the Evo MR.
personally I would recommend u go for a luxury performance line. if u can afford Euro go for a New 2005.5 Audi S4 or wait for the new 2006 m3, but if u want to stay Jap, u can go g35. of course G35 are dime a dozen these days, and u will have a car that everyone has.

for performance I would Go Evo MR. they have that extra edge over the standard Evo VIII's.

PErsonally I would not Go STI, it is a slower car even though it has more HP. also they only offer a 3 yr warranty as opposed to evo w/ 4yr. Not to mention Evo looks more aggressive.

S2k's w/ a hardtop are pretty nice. personally I wouldnt get a 350z, to me they are cheap cars, even though performance they are good.

if used is an option, you can also try for a 91-95 NSX w/ low miles, that will give you the extra "wow" factor, especially since you are only 20 yrs old.

you do realize mitsubishi has not been honoring the warranty for evo's. and where did you hear that the STi was a slower car than the evo? if you drive an EVO MR and than an 05 STi you will not be able to tell any big difference unless you are a great driver and know how to push the car, i could go on but i will save it

personally, i have driven both. Both are fast cars, for me the evo did feel faster and handling better, and the brakes were really nice.

Sti is an excellent car, and it is true that unless you are some pro driver or something you will not know the difference.

also have to factor in that STI has a better interior than evo. of course its all crap compared to a german car interior (ie. audi, bmw, merc).

There is something about the STI's looks that I dont find appealing though.

What's the GSR SSL package? And would I really want the MR? It seems like the only notable improvement over the standard is the 6 speed tranny....and wouldn't that just mean more gears to shift through?
