Yes, I'd much rather have the extra velocity over the extra 1mm of bullet diameter.

True, the velocity isn't that much greater, but I don't really care for the .40 anyway, and the more velocity the better. I have never shot a 10mm, but I don't think it would make a good carry gun, for me anyways.

:hsugh: You can take your 125 gr bullets going 1250 and I'll take my 155gr's going 1150 with almost the the same muzzle energy.

I know TX DPS switched to .357 sig and so did Alaska I believe. I think DPS switched because they need to be able to shoot through car doors without difficulty and Alaska because of the extra clothing people wear was stopping other rounds. I don't think it is a good round for all departments b/c it isn't an easy round to shoot, totally diff recoil than any other handgun i've shot.

no. FHP still allows choice and recommends .40, so do all the PD's around here, but they dont have issue weapons, just list to go buy from.

Yeah they have to be referring to the FN P90 5.7mm Submachinegun. No SWAT officer in their right mind would carry any Ruger with the exception of a Supressed Mark IV .22 cal used for killing any dogs to maintain Tactical suprise.
