I do so love my trips to Turner Motorsport. It's less than a half hour away from me, it is usually a nicely spirited drive, and I don't know of any other BMW tuners with a McLaren F1 in their showroom 24/7. :big grin: Today we went to their new second facility, the actual shop, to pick up the final modification for the M3....in the middle of an impromptu snow storm that progressed from a "light 1-2 inch dusting," to causing a 100 car pileup in the southern part of the state.

There was only one car to take for this trip:

Oh and fuck the gay secrecy on the M3 mod, look what was slapped onto my car tonight at the dealer after hours as a favor. :big grin:

The joke is that my stock differential grenaded on me while returning back from Logan Airport yesterday, and I had to have the car towed to the dealer. Seems the newfound full power delivery from the new clutch/flywheel/transmission was enough to liquify my 3.23 to the point of grease and metal shards. My service advisor called me, apologizing, saying he tried for hours to get BMW to warrantee it under the CPO but they wouldn't do it.

I showed up two hours later with this - good thing I gave the go-ahead to have it built two months ago, or else I would be stuck. When I dropped it on the Master mechanic's work area, half the shop came over to look at it. Kinda cool. :big grin:

It's going to be a hard 500 miles of proper break-in, but I am going to do it right. The performance results should be interesting, as I have heard/read two different camps on this modification....I look forward to finding out.
