Well I`m wanting a sporting auto loader rifle. I have a few A-Bolts and I love them. I just want this caliber and this style gun.

    I'd go M1a but that's just because i'm in kaliforniastan, otherwise I'd go AR-10

I would go with an AR-10. Right now I have 16" carbine with a dd rail and a Eo-tech. I have the regular stock A2 stock on it right now. Going to add a La Rue stock to it soon. Going to have Steve @ Adco build my Ar-10 long range upper. I have a lower with a match trigger in it. Going to pick a Magpul PRS stock, DD 14.0 rail, PAC-NOR barrel and some nice glass.

first, get over to calguns.net and browse the forums, then go get yourself a AR-10 :big grin:

as for the original question, I would say go with an AR-10 style rifle, the LAR would be my choice, but anything else should work as well. after that, I would say FAL, then M1A as the last choice, just because of how damned expensive they are for the good ones.

For the price... DPMS LR 308 24". WAYYY sub MOA and you can get it for $875. One of the most accurate semi 308's you can get.

Other than it's not incredibly likely that he's gonna find one that shoots sub moa for that price...
