Thinking about trying to bang out 30k pushups by december 31st (153 days)

    30k / 153 days = ~200 pushups a day

    is this a good idea?
what kind of results should i expect?

Work the math better. Start off doing like 50 a day and every month increase it by however many. By december, you will probably beable to do more than 200 a day, and now, 200 will probably feel like a shit load.

i think he expected someone to say: YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BENCH 500 FOR REPS.

Ever heard about rest? Yeah its important.

Would you do curls every day? Would you squat every day? Would you deadlift every day? If you answered no to any of these questions... THEN WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU DO PUSHUPS EVERYDAY?

That's going through training/testing. They are trying to make you mentally and physically tough. They don't want people who quit or who are too much of a pussy to get things done.

When the military personal workout they goto the weightroom.

    No, dickhead that ain't shit.

30,000 push-ups in one day....with a midget standing on your back..that's like one every three seconds, ain't hard

Infact, that proly would get you in the guiness book of records

edit - Hmm, it actually would'nt:

    Most Push-Ups In One Hour
The most push-ups completed in one hour is 3,416 by Canadian Roy Berger at the Central Canada Exhibition, Ottawa, Canada on August 30, 1998. Roy dedicated the record to his younger brother, Lee, who was tragically killed while stationed as a Canadian peacekeeper with the UN Protection Forces.

hardcore aint dead. You wanna be hardcore? slam down an animal pak. THEN talk about the 8 digit number of pushups you do daily for warmup.

I know a lot of Marines that are in fantastic shape and can crank out pushups all day but whose ass I would smoke in the gym. Plus they do a LOT more than just pushups.

Doing pushups every day isnt going to turn you into some kind of badass.

    Uh...ok.

There are some I know that I could beat the shit out of and there are some I wouldn't go near unless I had an assault weapon with me. I'm not really sure what you're saying here.
