I've always hated RPGs...then i played Fallout 3. I'm expecting this to be like Fallout minus 1000 years

i'm on uesp.net (elder scrolls wiki) trying to figure out what direction to go with when picking things for my guy. An old man i work with told me to go with Breton Mage or something :dunno:

use whatever you want for race to be honest. just pick out whatever one has the best appeal for you based on perks. same thing for your astronomical sign. your sign though, can compliment your race pretty easily.

when it comes to picking skills though, pick the 7 easiest to level up. for me, I use sneak, security, speachcraft, blades, heavy armor, restoration, alteration (or mercantile). That way, you'll grow levels faster. I started a new file as an argonian yesterday and played for 5 hours and I'm already at level 7.

game's wicked fun. I had a file going as a khajiit and spent 60 hours and only completed 2 main story quests. i hope you got the goty edidtion. Knights of the Nine is badass.

yeah, i had a tough time deciding between GOTY edition for $29 or the normal version/Bioshock combo for $39. I picked the GOTY edition, i figured i'll be playing this for the next 6 months and won't get around to bioshock for a long time

i havent played in forever, but i was a redguard and my guy was a pretty badass warrior

enchanted my armor so it was like 90% damage reflect, and i had a goldbrand...going around killing guards and shit was hella fun

GOTY edition is completely worth it. Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles add so much more content considering its a console and you can't get the game modded. Besides, you find the right place you can still pick up bioshock for pretty cheap and spend about the same :coold:

I had to delete my diesel Khajiit file because I was doing the thieves guild mission where you get Lex's gaurd detail moved and the stranger wouldn't forge my letter. I want that gray fox mask dammit.

Oblivion was a really good game. I just started getting annoyed with all the saved games I had, because it'd take ages to scroll through and load the game.

I remember doing the thieve guild side-quest, and wow I was amazed at how awesome that was. I don't think I did much of the main quest, because I didn't like the first oblivion gate, and i heard rest where same.

    :werd:

only downside of oblivion is that all the dungeons and oblivion gates were the exact same

shit got repetitive, but killing guards and civilians did not

Just bought the GOTY version from Best Buy for $19. I had the original back when it came out. beat the main quest and nothing much else.

Now I downloaded and install some mods and I am out to do everything but the main quest. I am having a freakin blast playing.

I always have the urge to play again, but I never do. I have an acrobat/vampire khajiit so its awesome just going around in the night arrowing people to death or sucking some blood

And its always fun for me to just ride around the countryside exploring the shitloads of caves/dungeons

Ive always considering starting this series. Where to start? Jump straight to Oblivion or are the others worthwhile? The GOTY edition is on Steam so its an easy download ;)

Downloaded and beat ZenoClash on Steam this weekend, making me remember how good single player RPG's of this variety can be.

Morrowind and Oblivion are the only ones I hear about. I think if you go on Bethedas site they have the first two available for download free.

I never played the ones before oblivion, though morrowind has tons of mods also. I thought about trying it but there's just too many games to play. :o

Oblivion is bad ass. Make sure you join the shadow guild and start assassinating people. so fucking fun

plus all the shadow equipment you get is some of the best in the game. i kept it from level 5 all the way til i finished the main quest

Never got the hang out of that game. After escaping prison, I joined the Mages Guild and got lost on the world. Never played it again and sold it. :hs:
