I picked this up at a garage sale today for $3:

When I picked it up, the light meter part of the lens fell off and two rings chilled on the wires. It seems like a relatively easy fix, but I need some special tools to take everything apart.

I dicked with the shutter and apture settings on this and they seem to be alright, I think I can take pictures just fine, but setting the controls would be a pain in the ass. Oh, and my SB600 works just fine on it :coold:.

Open the back and check that the rubber seals aren't all cracked or missing. Replace if necessary.

or if he's really unlucky, he'll have to deal with the black foam goo crap like on the Canonet rangefinders.

I sware they brought that stuff from hell.

I bought a 7s that was in good condition, but I really dislike the way the camera handles. Compared to the Electro 35 it is very clunky.

Since then, I've switched to the Olympus XA, and it is the king of all cheap rangefinders. So fucking small, easy to handle, looks great, etc...
