Last night I witnessed an acquaintance who is a 2nd LT choke some kid into unconsciousness and he was arrested. I wanted to know if anyone knew what would likely happen to him as far as the military is concerned.

Not sure, I didn't exactly talk to him a lot. Apparently, the guy said something to him and then the 2nd LT came up behind him and choked him out while another guy distracted him. They both ran off afterwards.

    LT is combatives stud, lol.

There are so many aspects to know. But at the very MOST he will get a permanent letter of reprimand, and at the least he will just get a stern talking to.

Read the post above my other one, because I forgot to quote Kirill. I just restated what he said in layman's terms, mainly because it's true and it irritates the fuck out of me.

Great point. I didn't mean to make a stamp statement on officers either, because the same stuff happens on the other side of the house. I've seen a lot of Os/Es in my job that slip through the cracks when they've made big mistakes. Said mistakes would've had them nailed to the wall if they were in a different unit or job.
