    what do i run, what are the opinions on windows 2000 pro and windows 2003 server. This is just for my desktop, amd k62 450, 512 ram. XP is just dog slow, and someone told me 2000 is a bit lighter, 98 used to run well but that would be a huge step back for so i was lookin at 2000, so whats the verdict?

    um, you don't want to run windows 2003 server for a desktop system. There is a reason it says "server". Win2k Pro would be just fine.

    If there's no need for the new features, W2K is fine.

    :rofl::rofl: I hope this is a parody?

    If XP is dog slow, then 2003 is going to be WORSE. 2003 is XP in a server edition.
