So I just watched this movie...would have to say it was very well done. In the end I felt it made some excellent points about the prison system and the trauma that some go through. It was also Spike Lee's first full length film, and I would have to say he has an excellent style to his films, very well shot.

I saw this movie in theatres and thought it was very well done. The storyline was interesting and Ed Norton put on a great performance.

One of my favourite scenes in a movie EVER, has to be when Ed does that monologue in the bathroom while looking in the mirror. F'ing brilliant!

    My favorite Spike Lee movie.

And I think Phillip Hoffman & Ed Norton are the two best actors out there right now.

The scene where Norton's father shows him what could happen if he decides to run away and start anew in a different state was absolutely priceless. It was like getting to see the alternate ending in the film itself, and was IMHO very touching. Great film!

Come on guys --- you can't leave out how incredible of an actor Brian Cox is. That is Norton's Dad in the movie, incase you didn't know.

    Great movie!

The "what could have been scene" was good but the movie had some many great themes.
Like finding who is the rat? And the I'm too pretty for prison scene.

And the teenage temptress seducing Hoffman.

it was definitely better than most movies with a smiliar vein, but it reminded me a lot of something todd solondz would make, but solondz would do x10 better :dunno:
