I'd return them
And you can get ammo for it.
I'd give them back. They look ugly as hell anyways.
Video says you can't...? Maybe they are just trying to make the public feel safe.
wait, since when can you not get .408?
and 6 football fields away? Hell, you can do that with an AR shooting 70+gr rounds.
First lost gun story Iver heard that wasnt cop related
hmm, lets see. keep a $25,000 rifle or return it for $2,500
i wonder what the person is going to do
Only $40 a box. They might be worth holding onto.
I wonder what the street value of that would be.
Hell maybe more than the $25,000 since its not available to the public
$25k sounds like a whole lot of barrett 50s???
military sniper rifles
wtf are you talking about?
Media: SNIPER rifles!! Not normal civillian rifles but SNIPER rifles. Yes, the same kind that SNIPERS use.
Uninformed citizen: HOLY LIVING MOTHER OF FUCK WE'RE FUCKING DOOMED!!!!
So, is it illegal to possess weapons that you found on the street? I know in MN you don't have to register a firearm unless you bought it from a dealer. Since the weapons "fell out" of the truck they wouldn't be considered stolen would they? Wouldn't it be a "finders keepers" situation?
I'd call in annonymous and offer to sell them back for $20k a piece. I'd even throw in some "non existant" ammunition for free.
Better yet, send them to the TV station with some said "unobtainable" ammo just to see how they react. Wouldn't be surprised if they just filch the rifles...
I'd give them back
i think they said the ammo was valued at 25k, as that seems steep for a barret rifle.
and isn't the blackwater range in NC?
Its not a Barrett rifle. I think the Cheytac costs a lot because of the ballistic computer it comes with.
And, just like toilet seats, anything sold to the government is extremely inflated in costs. It's our tax dollars at work folks!
I think it's expensive just because it's not a Barrett 50.
Any normal person would get a <$5k bolt action barrett and call it a day.
I think Cheytac say that they only sell to police and military.
However they are not the only one to make rounds though.
They have rifles on their site that say they can be sold to civilians.
