I agree, the chamber tilt is waaaaayyy too much.

  13. The 180sx is released in Japan with the SR20DET engine. Great little car.
A lot of people do Sil80 and Onevia conversions with them to be different.
I plan to drop a RB30DETT into one

    :noseheavy:

is it just gonna be for drag racing???

  15. They are actually not to bad with the 6 Cyl in them. Just need the right suspension setup. Don't seem too nose heavy at all. Of course they will never be as nimble but all the extra torque is worth it for me.

There are a lot of RB25DET and RB26DETT Silvias etc getting around. They seem to handle just fine.

It is going to be a street car, mostly all round. But I wanted something different and really want to build a RB30DETT.

I hear LS1 powered 240s handle pretty well too.. Don't know how I'd know that...

  17. There you go. :)

Im thinking over 1000NM of torque in a 240 would be fun.

What do 240sx's have in them engine wise ?

In Australia they only seem to have 180sx's.

240s come with the KA24 a 2.4L I4, with 89-90 models having a SOHC version putting out 140hp and the 91-98 models having a DOHC version with 155hp.

Some people despise it, some people praise it. It's a beefy engine though, and there have been some very impressive numbers come out of turbocharging it. Who wouldn't love getting 300+hp out of 10 psi of boost?

I'm running a high compression KA that after this winter should be well into the 200rwhp range.

  23. I have a 93 coupe. Iam getting the S13 front conversion, Tein HE's, and really havent decided what engine i want yet. Prob the SR20DET but i have looked into the CA18's and i have also thought about rebuilding a KA and boost the hell out of it. Iam just trying to get a good setup for a drift car. Not trying to go super fast in the 1/4 mile.

On a car as light as the 240sx you really don't need any more than about 250hp for drifting. Any more than that and the power can become uncontrollable in a slide. You could go with anything, it is your choice really.

If your KA is in decent condition you could slap a turbo on it, beef up the fuel system, maybe a bit of headwork and you could hit your horsepower goal without even touching the bottom end.
