I recently picked up a 24" iMac to replace my old 20" and this thing is way too bright. I have the settings turned all the way down and have also downloaded some calibration profiles but still no luck. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Unless you are constantly viewing the screen in an otherwise pitch-black room, I'm not sure how it could be too bright on the lowest setting.

Maybe try living in a less dark environment. In other words, get out of your mom's basement.

I don't either. My 20" was fine but this thing is glowing.

The Apple radiation is normal. Just wear some shades like a cool fanboy.

if all else fails, take a can of Krylon and spray a thin coat on your screen, add more coats to suit your needs.
