what would be the effective range of a 10/22 with upgraded barrel/trigger/bolt/internals/etc vs. paper targets? :o

i read on rimfire central that on a still day, you could probably get MOA @ 100 yards. at 25 and 50 yards, sub MOA should be no problem.

given the conditions, and the shooter, and the rifle, how far out could you push .22 and get consistant shots?

the bullet drop at 100 is rediculous when zeroed at 50

i think on my rifle, it was 13 clicks down and 8 to the right.... weird how i remember that after not touching that gun in like 2 years

Everything internal upgraded, hammer, sear, all that shit but a factory stock and barrel. I think it took about 35 clicks at 1/4th inch per click to get it zeroed at 150 yards :hs:

at 150yds 1 click would be closer to 3/8" on a scope with 1/4" adjustments

I can easily do 3/4" at 50 from a bag, if the wind is calm (I have done less than 1/2" at 50 quite a few times). Rifle has a Hogue stock, VQ hammer, VQ c/f barrel, and WK buffer. I'm sure the rifle could do 1" at 100 from a rest if the wind was calm. Even with shitty scope and rings. The barrel is by far the most important choice.
