like the title says, 22k to spend on a newer (98+) car, has to be reliable and i would like something with a nice interior and 4 door :wiggle:

ive heard some a4s have reiability issues :sad2:

also, im more of a MB guy so the 3 series doesnt really appeal to me much. thanks for the input guys, ill def. look at an a6 and at a4s in that range. if anyone can say anything about the reliability of these cars in the long run thatd be nice. :)

also, ive been looking at some c43s. anyone have an opinions on them?

I dont know much about the C-class. i've driven a friends C230 kompressor sedan, it was OK. i prefer Audi interiors to MB, but to each his own :dunno:

you could almost certainly find a used C-class for that much money.

A4s, i haven't heard any major reliability issues. some have the 1.8T engine, which has some issues (namely coilpacks). as long as the car wasn't driven super hard, or modded, you should be OK though.

Yes. They rock. The interior is to die for, the AMG accents make the driver feel truly special, handling is actually decent, and the effortless power of the V8 is oh-so-nice. Of course there is the caveat of the automatic transmission, but so be it. The C43 - hell, even the C36, which is a great car in its own right - gets the Slotho Seal of Approval.

Are they really available at around $22,000 now? Last I checked they were holding their value quite well, I honestly find that price surprising...but then it has been a while since I checked.

C43s are faster than most people realize, and the C36 engine is a gem.

you had a c36 right? any major problems?

Slotho: highest price within 100 miles from me is about 30k for a c43 with 40k miles :dunno:. def. a car i would love to own for the next 4-5 years, just worried about the reliability in the long run.

any more input would be greatly appreciated :bigthumb:

EDIT:this is one that would def. be considered LINK

That car looks really nice. Ditch the 500000 lb wheels and you would have yourself one hell of a ride. :bigthumb:

Agreed. Guy I work with has one (a 99 or 2000 I believe), and man that thing is fun (especially nice in our climate with snow at least half the year).

tempting but id rather get a newer 330ci :hs:

plus id think repairs on an m3 would be just as bad as the c43 amg. which is whats holding me back from jumping on one
