That thing is simply too expensive.....

If it were around $800.... I'd probably own one. Add the LaRue optic and it would probably be a pretty cool blaster.

They make one of the easiest/best cowitness setups for the AK. :dunno:

At that point I think I'd rather go with an AR-180B.

no. the easiest and best would be the same new sight they have now (that replaces the rear elevation), but have it accept any other site you want (see: doctor optics).

or even better than that, have it be a piece of rail that replaces the rear sight so you could put a Micro T1 on it or something.

    THAT would be the best.

I think it was understood that he meant on the current market.

The ability to have drop free mags does address one of the weaknesses of the AK platform. If they could get it to actually hit shit past 100 yards that would be another (exagerating but not by much)

No, I'm working on an SBRed AR now to get the 5.56/tacticool out of my system :o I think it's one of the mods, or perhaps the admin of www.theakforum.net

That gun (minus the rail and light) has always been my dream AK setup. Still want to try out a LaRue mount, cause they look pretty tits. Be nice if you could get a mount for a Doctor, as there are people to send those too to beef them up, and supposedly they work pretty well.

Yeah, I think Larue would have made a better decision offering both the Doctor and Optima...or at least having the option to buy the mount by itself.
