22 days... no gym.. what would you do?

    Going to europe for 22 days and have no access to gyms. I was thinking of buying some bands and creating simple 30 minute routines to do before going to sleep or when I wake up. Any ideas? Whatever I end up doing the "equipment" must be lightweight and highly portable. Normally I wouldn't worry but its 22 damn days...

    You're backpacking, right?

    Just buy a nice set of dumbbells, maybe some 50's, 70's, and 90's. Put them in your backpack.

    lol cause everyone wants to backpack around europe with 400+lbs in their backpack =P

    dont worry about it too much, work what you can when you can. europe has gyms too ya know =) learn how to say "i wanna try this gym for the first time for free" in all the languages you'll need and see if you can get a free day pass =)

    Jumpstretch bands are an option and pretty much what I was thinking. Its a tour so I'll be on trains and busses for a good bulk of the time (when I'm not in a hotel). I guess I'll bring my grippers and hopefully I'll be a crunk master by the time i get back.

    If you order them direct from jumpstretch, they give you a manual with a bunch of exercises

    When I was in France for just under 3 weeks, all I brought with me was a skipping rope.
    I skipped rope for 1/2 hour and shadow boxed for another 1/2 hour.
    I also just did pushups and bodyweight squats. The squats I did sets of 100's.

    Strangely enough I am going to Europe for 22 days this summer... But I will just do my basic routine, situps, pushups, dips, and my gripper. I will try to eat as health as possible and drink occasionally. But we will have to see.

    i just got back from spain/france - was there for 21 days; i just did some push-ups and dips in the hotels (one had an "all-in-one machine" which sucked but was better than nothing). I was there biking so I felt kind of productive, but overall today at the gymn i was a little rusty but no big deal (and no noticable change in size)

    22 days? I think I would just hang it up and rest my body while I had fun for 22 days. That's just me though.
