I heard that .223 can maintain flat trajectory out to 200 yards, how about a .22 converted AR15?
standard .22lr starts dropping after 100 yards
the gun you shoot it from really doesn't change that, longer barrels (>16") on a .22 are not necessarily beneficial due to the laws of physics
@ 100 yards I had the same site in position as 223. I was suprised but thats the story..
Wow, I am surprised to hear that also. I was thinking of AK due to cheaper ammo, but AR converted to .22 would be even cheaper in the long run. So tempting.....
How does the feel compare, any significant difference in recoil?
what platform? what barrel? what ammunition?
Feels massively different.. You have 5x+ energy in the 223
10/22 would be the cheapest option
seems like a long barrel to me for a .22lr
i'm not an expert though
