Fucker is a popular little bike, girlfriend and I drug our feet in picking one up for her when we say them on the sales floor a month ago. Well this weekend we pulled the trigger, hit up 4 kawi dealers.
1st dealer is getting in 9, 8 had deposits bikes will start to arrive in 2 - 5 weeks
2nd dealer no idea how many he is getting, has deposits for 10. Not sure if he can fulfill all the orders. Will get bikes end of June.
3rd dealer getting in 8 or 9, has deposits on 7. Getting bikes first week in July.
4th dealer getting 5, has deposits on 5, will get end of June.
In the end we got the last one for the season from the 1st dealer. Red. Will be nice to finally have the g/f off the back of mine

    I pay a $340/yr with State Farm
    100/300/100, uninsured motorist, $250 deductible for comp/collision...etc.

I've had my M1 for about 2-3 weeks longer than I've owned my bike...

I'm hoping by December time frame the '09s will be close and/or out and the '08s demand will have dropped so I can pick one up for MSRP or below. Maybe even a used '08.

why will demand for the 08s drop if they don't change anything?

You have your market of those that want the newest of every thing. People who bought 08's, dropped them, got a bit better and want to replace it with an 09.. dunno.

Plus they very well could change something in the 09 version.

Doubt it. It's not like it's a car getting a facelift every four years.

For that price I am hoping you are getting full coverage. I pay almost that much for my truck from state farm.

And yes, geico isnt saving anyone money. They wanted over 2,000 a year for me and my truck. State farm is just over 400 every 6 months.

Thoes 250's look like fun. I wish I had the money for a new one. I am keeping an eye out for a good used one. I know a kid with a Yoshi exhaust, new gearing, and a handfull of other goodies and he says he loves it. 70-80mpg and tapping gears at 14 turns when he wants.

Some of the quotes I've got for my bike looked like that. I'm paying 2170 now with a 1K deductible. :(

Depends on what coverage you want. Drop collision and comprehensive (meaning you'll take care of your own bike and pay for any damage you cause someone else) and motorcycle insurance will probably around $100 a year.
