Why are car companies still developing gas guzzlers when people are basically trading in their SUVs for Hybrids and 4 bangers? Are these car companies destined to lose billions in money.

I cant remember the last time I saw a 4-banger towing a 25 foot boat or a 35 foot camper for the family. Some families are more concerned with being comfortable on their family trips. That being said I do know they are coming out with some powerful hybrids that could be capable of some decent towing. It all depends on the use for the vehicle not just MPG.

the tahoe and suburban are one of GM's most successful products, along with one of the oldest still being built. They're not gonna drop the line because of gas prices.

while the current front end is horrible, I don't think the Tahoe is much of an improvement. It's a shame because Chevy trucks were always great looking until the most recent update.

Gen IV 5.3L V8 will make 355HP and get 20+ MPG. Hate all you want, thats impressive for a truck motor.
