What are your impressions on them? I like what they did minus the front grill. Do you think they'll do anything to fix it? Aftermarket wise.

They killed it with the nasty looking grill and Pepboy looking tail lights. :wtc:

I still don't like the tail lights, however, I am really liking the front end now. Finally saw one on the road the other day and it looked real good.

I would also like to get one. I might part out my existing car, sell the car and make payments on an STI. What is the aftermarket looking like?

definately. i've seen one STI, and one WRX, both new, and they look ALOT better in person than the pics.

i would think the aftermarket would be similar to what it is for teh 05 STi's, since the 06s are basically the same.

I just driven one. Steering is quicker then 04 and it feels faster stock for stock. Also heating and cooling controls are nice upscale flair.

Looks are growing on me much better in person then in pictures.

+1 Ex-Evo 8 owner here. When I first saw them, I thought they were hiddeous.

Now, I think they're gorgeous. Completely different styling, the new front lights and tails are beautiful, especially at night. I test drove an 04 STi and I wasn't as impressed with the steering feel as the Evo. I'm goign to have to drive an 06 before I decide on an Evo9.

get the 9 it's well over 320bhp and very under rated. I can't get rid of my EVO 8 for one because of all the money and mods on my car. I just witched to the MR suspention and I fell back in love with it. Now rides smoother then my wifes M3.
