    btw, i wouldnt be surprized if they offer that engine in their other models eventually (they will if they're smart, which they appear to be so far)

    makes your wonder, i kinda doubt toyota will go without a sporty compact car though, they might make another celica based on this car :dunno:

    I think it has been confirmed already that the Celica will be dismissed very soon.

    From Motor Trend-
    "Toyota will end North American import of it's Celica when the next generation sport coupe luanches for the model year 2005 or 2006. The Celica has been a toyota fixture since the 1972 model year and quickly became known as a kind of Japanese Mustang. But fickle coupe sales in the US, and the death of Honda's Prelude, obviously helped Toyota make the decision."

    The backend looks more like a Hyundai Tiburan/Pontiac G6 to me. :o
