The SDR's are looking good! Trying to convince my buddy to go with those or with the Battles on his STi.

Sick ride though. Time to trade in my WRX for one of those puppies.

it would be cool to see some pics of you launching it... nice car though to bad evo ownes it ;)

launches are pretty uneventful as the car barely squats, it just goes. Unfortunately me best time is *only* a 1.7 60'
And you can believe that the EVO owns it ;) Go tell all the EVO owners that too, I like them to be overconfident :big grin:

    get TURBO TIMERS

turbo timers will not extend the life of the VF39. It is designed to be fine with the oil and water coolant system it has. That being said I run a Compustar with built in turbo timer.

Oh and I had the car on a dynapack dyno today and ran about 45hp and 75 ft-lb more torque than a stock EVO (tested on the same dynapack today), so I guess you are right, the EVO will own my STi ;)

    :bigthumb: hehe

was the 1.7 on a stock clutch? also are you on stock suspension i would assume that you can get some nice launch pics of that thing squating down for us!!!!!

yeah, stock clutch, stock tires, stock suspension. The car really doesn't squat much on launch, it just goes.

Had it on the dyno yesterday, put down 263hp and 271ft-lbs (at the wheels on a dynapack dyno). A stock EVO stepped up to the dyno right after me and put out 224hp and 218ft-lbs. Guess that having ~40hp and ~50ft-lb less should be more than enough to school a lowly STi. :p just kidding. All the stock EVO owners I have come across know they can't take an STi in a straight line and are pretty cool about it. It's the EVO non-owners who think the car is all powerful.

The 4G63 does have a ton of potential, but it should after over 10 years of development.
