Is it just me or does that thing seem to be getting uglier and slower (in comparison to its competition) with every year? Porsche needs to get their act together.

Boxster. To tell the world you didn't have enough money for a 911.

I'd take a Ford Pinto if it was given to me, but ain't no way in hell I'd pay 50 grand for something that performs worse than a 30k 350Z roadster. It's not entirely a POS, it's just an overpriced POS, Porsche needs to get their act together.

    They are round now!

See? They just have this "mirror" glaze around them that makes them look connected to the fog lights.

If you really want to make the "look" of round, you can put the headlight covers on. That way, you cover up the reflective part of the housing.

That car (along with the Cayenne) is keeping Porsche a 100% independent luxury car company (unlike Ferrari and Lambo).

As long as they keep spitting out 911s, I could care less about the other model lines.

Until you've driven one you really shouldn't talk shit. There's more to a Porsche then how many horsepower it has.

I have no problem with the Cayenne, it's an amazing automobile that certainly provides the bang for the buck. However, when you're selling a roadster that turns out performance numbers similar to a Honda half it's price, you need to realise that you're stiffing your loyal customers. I have no problem with Porsche selling an affordable sports car but jeez give your customers something to be proud of, the 944, 968, and 928 are perfect examples of what Porsche needs to go back to doing.

:werd: its kind of an experience. altho I'm sure a lot of you would disagree there's more to a car than how fast it is. I'm not saying its not important, but you have to realize people that buy these things really love the cars.
And I'm sure that you could drive your boxster twice as much as a 350z before you start noticing problems. It is a very well engineered car.

If Ferrari came out with a $50-75k roadster/sports car, people would bitch and complain. However, many people would applaude them as well.

The Z06 offers numbers equal to or greater than my 911 turbo at less than half the price. However, the sale of turbos lives on. Go figure. There are enough people in the world that will buy a certain model even if it is 2x the price with equal performance. That is just the way that the world is. I assure you that Porsche Boxster sales aren't hurting soley because of the S2000 much like Turbo sales aren't suffering because of the Z06. People want a certain type of car and will spend the extra cash to get it.

I'm not digging those MR2'esque rear quarter panel vents.
