The car looks pretty meh. Slightly different rear wing and droopy nose. Most of the development however is beneath the surface. The new Honda engine has gone through leaps and bounds of development - it only blows up on raceday as opposed to during first practice, second practice, and raceday. BARF1 have also revolutionized both logistical and chassis construction solutions so they can now bring 8 spare cars to races to accommodate Takuma Sato.

I highly doubt that. As many Honda engines have failed in the same number of days BAR has tested this year.

Taku's crash count is already at 3. By the end of the year, Taku's repair bill will eclipse JV"s salary.

Word has it Barnie Schmeklestone is going to open a parts store for the privateer teams using peices that break off of Sato's car.

Notice in the studio shoots, the first pic has the BAR tobacco logo on it, but the other pics have the BAR code on the side pods?

Yeah, Sato broke that car too repositioning it for the shoot.

Their PR also fucked up and posted the studio shots one day before official launch. Saw them just before I headed out yesterday so I didn't bother posting. :uh:

And Button is targeting winning a round this year?

If the PR team cant get their act together, you think David Richards has any prayer pulling a win out of the teams ass?

He thinks they will be championship contenders in 2005.

At least it's better to be ambitious instead of taking the Jaguar approach where their aiming for mediocrity. You'd think they were a public sector team.

At Jaguar, we hope to make the grid. :bigthumb:

Ove Anderson set realistic goals for Toyota in its first season. Course he's gone now, but Toyota has never tried to undersell or oversell themselves. I think in a year or two, they're quietly going to become a top team.

And for God's sake, someone please tell Eddie Jordan his team would have money to hire better driver's if he didn't spend $3.4 million a race weekend on track bunnies..... :uh:

With Mike Gascoyne, the 2005 car should be impressive.

What teams on the 2004 grid has Gascoyne NOT worked for?

Well, that's the real reason they got rid of him, to compensate for the crash bill.

The BAR codes are actually UPS shipping lables. It makes it easy for UPS to keep track of the cars during shipment. That way Takumo Sato cant wreck it on the way to the track.
