...flood damage. It sat in fresh water (relatively clean water apparently as the interior is not soiled) for a short time and the insurance company totalled it. Other than that, it appears to be in very good condition. There is slight damage to the front bumper/fender where it was pulled from the water. It's located at one of my dealer only auctions.

Also, as you can see from the pictures, it's got an A&A supercharger. It LOOKS like the A&A kit, but I can't tell for sure.

So, if you were in the market for Z06 (electron blue :eek3:), what's it worth to you? I'm planning on bidding near 14k, but I don't think that'll come close. Average retail is 41000+ if it was a clear title. I don't plan on selling this one! This will be my personal toy :)

edit: the insurance yard has a stack of receipts for this car. "actual retail value" is listed at 75k. meaning, there's definitely more than just a blower.

Sometimes, it's not even that. We bought a '96 Silverado that was under for 36 hours. 'Took it home and the only thing we ended up buying were the heater controls :eek3:. Other than that, very nice truck

This vette was pulled out within an hour (not like time matters) and the owner had the fluids dropped and motor running within an hour or two. The carpet/seats were pulled and cleaned as well.

There is more to this one though. It'll start and run fine for a little bit, but then it dies as soon as the PCM goes into "closed loop" mode. Meaning, as soon as the system starts reading from sensors and making appropriate adjustments, it stumbles and dies. Could be O2 sensors? Mass Air?

I wouldn't pay to much for it, Im sure most of the electronics, at the very least the ECM will have to be replaced.

it's not the MAF... Then it wouldn't run at all... but something in the closed-loop sensors is malfunctioning... have you read the codes yet?

FYI: this sealed bid auction had a high bid of over 32k. It appears someone else figured out it was a Doug Rippie built car. I found the previous owner and he was more than happy to tell me about it. He hired everything done and with the cost of the new vette, the total bill topped 120k.

Looks like I'll keep building my FRC
