well I shot a local guys 2001 TA today. Nice car, some small imperfections. It recently rained here, so it make Lake Michigan all mucky which is why the water looks nasty.

right when I got to his area, I forgot 1 thing. my motherfuckin vagabond. so.... I had to do without lights :(

hes happy, so thats all that matters.

    yea, big-o-coconut.

I wanted to do more rig shots, but really couldn't find ANY smooth roads for a 3-5 second exposure.

I'm still working on the other pics, I should be done with them tomorrow.

I like 4 the best. The rest seem to have a lot of dead space (first shot) in the photos and a lot of distractions (boat yard) that could be minimized with some more DOF and an ND filter.

Were you using a CPL at all?

And if you notice imperfections, you should take the time to edit them IMO. Like the paint chips on the front of the car. I would have waited until later in the day to do the shots also.

Not bad though, being that these are pretty much the only shots I have ever seen from you. :p

It's a TransAm though - I feel it would be better suited in front of a dumpy bar or a group of hicks with mullets. :p

1st shot I was trying to get the whole "rugged building" in the shot with the flair. I personally like it. thats what photography is all about, what YOU like. Different strokes for different folks right?

CPL was not on but with me.

Imperfections: I'm working on the chipped license plate cover and chipped caliper now. when I typed imperfections I went "shit, I gotta fix the license plate cover and brake caliper"

now the boat yard, It was my first time in there and dealing with anything like that. I had all my ND's with me since I did rig shots today. But I was just trying to be different with a larger DOF for everything to be in detail. I do wish I would have put on a ND to bokeh them a bit, but lesson learned :) I'm shooting a mustang tomorrow and another sunday. so maybe I can do it for one of them.

  6. They seem to be missing some kind of pizzaz in a way... don't know how to describe it

well to me....the color of the car makes everything look...bland. I did what I could with it. Could it have been shot different? Most definitely. I just didn't have time to scope out the area, or that much time with the car in general.

Make sure for the Mustang, that YOU USE THE CPL.

I NEVER shoot anything outdoors in Daylight without one.

It might just be me, but I like to mask out the windshield and desaturate the cyan from it.

    Hope you don't mind:

hard to push and get enough blur with one person pushing ;)

I could have put him in the car with a static shot. then masked him in. :coolugh:

You need more separation with the backgrounds. the one with the lake is the best IMO. The rest are just dull.
