okay so i got a 2001 dodge ram with about 112000miles. recently had the transmission solenoid replaced and am currently having some weird issues.

Driving recently, ill be going about 30-40, and it feels like it downshifts then slows down. If i gun it it will stop the problem and i wont feel it for the rest of the day. it has happened maybe 2 times in the past 3 weeks. ALSO at the stoplights before these times you could feel the truck trying to go forward even with the brakes being held.

    Anyone know whats wrong?

Has the transmission been flushed and refilled with ATF+3/4?

Hopefully so, many places will say they will, but use regular Dexron and put some additive in that they claim will magically convert it to ATF+3 or 4, it won't.

Are you getting a SES light when it acts up or checked for codes? You might want to check out TSB's for your truck, it may be a known issue, or Dodge might have released a firmware update for the transmission computer. Failing that it's probably easiest to take it to a good mechanic or reputable dealer and have them check it out.

Your TB [Throttle Body] or TB cable might be sticking.
Check that first, it can cause both problems [high idle at stop and downshift at cruise].
